The reason for this is that from a certain volume of the speakers there is to feedback loops whistling. There is also the small possibility that this Skype camera application will only route the audio of the TV’s internal speakers. Buying overpriced, legacy, proprietary kit won’t be happening. When both parties have a telyHD you can instantly share photos with each other. There’s no computer required and there’s no monthly fee either. The styling and integration are seamless with Xamera HDTVs, and it will look like this camera came from the factory installed on top of your TV.
However, this older and now discontinued camera is compatible with your TV: Hi – If your Skype settings check out OK and you have powered down, unplugged, disconnected, etc. There MUST be other cameras that work with this tv.

It is correct that for Skype external audio devices are turned off. Is this correct or is there something I can do to rectify tg situation? You don’t need a computer. Merci pour votre aide.
However, It is my understanding that Panasonic has recently certified this camera to work as well: You can use the telyHD to talk to anyone with a Skype-compatible device.
We’re setting up in a 12′ x 18′ conference room with a long conference table. I bought this camera to work with the Panasonic BDT Skype-enabled Blu-Ray player, but it causes a significant echo on the other person’s line. The audio works great and I can see the video of the person I am speaking. The nearest person would be about 4′ from the camera, and the furthest person at the far end would be 14′ away, and each row of persons along the sides of the table would be about 5′ from each other.
Other than that, its great. Connected the camera to USB 2. If your Skype settings check out OK and you have powered down, unplugged, disconnected, etc. I have set up the camera and Skype and obtained an excellent picture, but the outgoing picture cuts out every few seconds and restarts. However, It is my understanding that Panasonic has certified this camera to work as well: The previous generation of this camera was only capable of recording 22 frames per second in HD, but the new TY-CC20W is capable of Repeated the process and same result.
I also notice that the Skype service is temporarily unavailable 2 of the 3 times I have tried to log in. The maximum volume of the internal speaker is set on Skype to a value where no such no feedback occurs.
